The company commenced trading in 1980 and quickly established itself as a specialist supplier of quality imported hydraulic connections and accessories. Over the years experience has been gained in large contract supplies, such as the Queensland Railways electrification project in the 80's where we were a principal supplier of tube and tube fittings.
The company has evolved from a division of a family owned company through
several phases and has traded as Flanges
Australia
since 1990. Flanges Australia has traditionally been an importer/wholesaler
to the hydraulic industry.

The Expanding Future Direction
The emergence of Flanges Australia Pty Ltd as a multi-national company in
the latter months of 2000 has set the stage for a strategic expansion of
the existing product range to include carbon steel Din metric tube &
tube fittings ( not a new product line for us as we specialised in these
products from 1980 thru 1995) and ball valves ( both high & low pressure)
as well as a comprehensive range of quick release couplings and Hydrocheck

pressure checking hose and fittings.

As a direct consequence of our new multi-national capability , we have a wide variety of product available to us, and a European based central sourcing department which ensures entire projects can be supplied quickly & efficiently, using product only from established quality manufacturers.
Flanges Australia Pty Ltd will add further fluid power connection and accessory products to the existing product range in line with our market expansion plan.
Flanges Australia have extended marketing activities to include supply of major projects & O.E.M's, as well as supporting our traditional hydraulic industry clients.
Example of European Sourcing;
A major project installing new ink delivery lines for a major printer required 'special' ball valves, However, due to the European holiday season delivery times were extended beyond the contractor's tight deadline. Thanks to our new contacts Flanges Australia were able to source the 'special sealed' ball valves and have them delivered ' on site' in Australia within 10 days from order, whilst other suppliers were quoting 3-4- weeks ex works Europe. The development of a continuous rock crusher required a full flow 1.1/2" quick release coupling capable of 400 bar working pressure, from first contact to delivery 'in house Australia' was less than two weeks and this included locating the correct quick release for the job.
