Stainless Steel Twin Ferrule ( Vee-Lok ) Instrumentation Fittings

The tube fittings are manufactured from AISI316 stainless steel hex bar or from AISI316 forged stainless steel bodies for elbows , tees and crosses. The tube fittings consist of (4) four parts; body, front ferrule , back ferrule , and nut. The twin ferrule design compensates for any tolerances in tube O.D., wall thickness, and material hardness and assures leak proof connections. The Vee-Lok fittings are interchangeable with swagelock and other similar fittings. The tube fittings are manufactured to meet stringent specifications required for a wide range of applications in hydraulic, chemical, process control , petrochemical and instrumentation. All Vee-Lok fittings are supplied clean room prepacked in sealed plastic bags. The size range for the Vee-Lok fittings is 1/8" thru 1" or 6mm thru 25mm O.D.

Betabite stainless steel fittings use a cutting ring principle with two cutting edges as is indicated below

All Betabite stainless steel couplings are available in BSPT, BSPP, NPT and Metric port threads. Parallel threads use stainless steel dowty washers as standard and are supplied complete.

Assembly Notes - General

  1. It is recommended that all joints are pre-made holding the coupling body firmly in a bench vice.

  2. Lubricate all detail parts of the fitting, especially internal body cone, the rear of the ferrule and the internal thread of the nut. Whilst lubrication is recommended on all fittings it is IMPERATIVE when assembling stainless steel fittings. A good quality copper based lubricant paste is essential. BETALUBE is highly recommended and is available from Flanges Australia.
    Note: After assembly, fittings being used on oxygen lines must be carefully degreased.

  3. Betabite Fittings installed correctly can be broken apart, when not under pressure, and reinstalled repeatedly without affecting their pressure tightness or leak proof quality.
